A group of students rescued from Ukraine by the Indian government during the Russia-Ukraine conflict have demonstrated their profound gratitude by contributing to the security deposit required for Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan's Lok Sabha candidature in the Attingal constituency.

Along with their parents, the evacuated students paid a visit to Muraleedharan at the state office of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kerala on Friday. They expressed their decision to contribute to the security deposit as a heartfelt token of their appreciation for the government's efforts in ensuring their safe return.

"I was studying at Zaporizhzhia University in Ukraine when the Russia-Ukraine war erupted," Sai Sruthi, one of the students, recounted to ANI. "We were terrified and stranded, but we were fortunate to be evacuated thanks to the prompt intervention of Prime Minister Modi and Minister Muraleedharan."
