In a post on X on Sunday night, Jan. 19, the first lady announced the launch of the coin, writing, "You can buy $MELANIA now."

The coin is currently valued at around $85,000, with a total market valuation of about $1.7bn.

The launch of the Melania coin comes a day after Donald Trump launched his own $TRUMP crypto coin, which currently has a total market valuation of about $12bn (£9.8bn).
