ブリニョーネがコルティナのスーパー大回転で勝利し、ボンがクラッシュするもワールドカップでのリードを広げる

Federica Brignone won Sunday's super-G at Cortina d'Ampezzo to extend her World Cup lead, as comeback queen Lindsey Vonn crashed out.

フェデリカ・ブリニョーネは日曜のコルティナ・ダンペッツォでのスーパー大回転で勝利し、ワールドカップでのリードを広げたが、復帰女王リンゼイ・ボンはクラッシュで敗退した。

Veteran Brignone, already the oldest woman to win a World Cup race at the age of 34, claimed the honours with a time of one minute and 21.64 seconds, 0.58sec ahead of reigning overall and discipline champion Lara Gut-Behrami.

ベテランのブリニョーネ選手は、34歳ですでにワールドカップレースで優勝した最年長女性であり、総合優勝と種目別チャンピオンのララ・ガット・ベーラミ選手を0.58秒上回る1分21秒64のタイムで優勝した。

Brignone made sure that Italy claimed a Cortina double this weekend after Sofia Goggia won Saturday's downhill with her fourth victory of the season.

ソフィア・ゴッジャが土曜日のダウンヒルで今季4勝目を挙げ、ブリニョーネは今週末、イタリアがコルティナで2冠を確実に獲得した。

Her win was also her first ever on the Olimpia delle Tofane piste which will host women's alpine events at the Winter Olympics next year.

彼女の勝利は、来年の冬季オリンピックで女子アルペン競技が開催されるオリンピア・デッレ・トファーネ・ゲレンデでの初勝利でもあった。

"I like this more spring-like snow because I can slide down the piste more and every mistake gets punished," said Brignone.

「私はこの春っぽい雪が好きです。ゲレンデをもっと滑り降りられるし、どんなミスも罰せられるからです」とブリニョーネさんは語った。

"All I can do is keep skiing like I have been doing, with a clear head. I just want to put in my best performances and today I managed to do that."

「私にできるのは、これまでと同じように、すっきりした頭でスキーを続けることだけです。ただ最高のパフォーマンスを出したいだけです。今日はそれができました。」

Vonn has posted some impressive results since coming out of a near six-year retirement aged 40 after a partial right knee replacement in April, but had a poor weekend on one of her favourite courses.

ボンは4月に右膝部分置換術を受け、40歳で約6年間の引退生活から復帰して以来、目覚ましい成績を収めてきたが、お気に入りのコースの1つで週末は不振に終わった。

The 2010 Olympic downhill champion, who has 20 podium finishes including 12 wins in Cortina, slid off course after finishing 20th in the downhill on Saturday.

コルティナでの12勝を含む20回の表彰台を誇る2010年オリンピック滑降チャンピオンは、土曜日の滑降で20位に終わった後、コースアウトした。

"I think this weekend was a good learning experience for me, I haven't really trained downhill or super-G with this kind of speed yet, so I need a little bit more time," said Vonn.

「今週末は私にとって良い学習経験だったと思います。まだこれほどのスピードでダウンヒルやスーパーGを本格的にトレーニングしたことがないので、もう少し時間が必要です」とボンは語った。

"I really need to train more, understand that I've only had a few months, and a few days of training, and I can't expect always to have a perfect day."

「本当にもっとトレーニングする必要がある。まだ数カ月と数日しかトレーニングしていないことを理解しているし、常に完璧な一日を過ごせるとは期待できない。」

Vonn added that she plans to next ski in the downhill and super-G at Garmisch next weekend, with a giant slalom being held in Kronplatz on Tuesday as the athletes prepare for next month's World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.

ボンさんは、次の週末はガルミッシュでダウンヒルとスーパー大回転を滑る予定で、選手たちが来月ザールバッハ・ヒンターグレムで開催される世界選手権に向けて準備する中、火曜日にはクロンプラッツで大回転が開催される予定だと付け加えた。

Goggia finished seventh, 1.25sec behind her compatriot and rival Brignone who is bidding for a second overall World Cup title and is 106 points ahead of Camille Rast who did not compete on Sunday.

ゴッジャは、2度目のワールドカップ総合タイトルを狙う同胞でライバルのブリニョーネから1.25秒差の7位でフィニッシュし、日曜日には出場しなかったカミーユ・ラストよりも106ポイント上回った。

"I didn't ski with the same flow as I did yesterday, I was imperfect everywhere," said Goggia to Rai.

「昨日と同じ流れで滑れなかった。どこも不完全だった」とゴッジャはライに語った。

"I wasn't able to get into the rhythm of the piste, but I lost the podium coming out of the gate... I could tell straight away that I'd lost it there. I could have got a podium place but I started far too badly."

「ゲレンデのリズムに乗れなかったのに、ゲートから出たところで表彰台を逃してしまいました…そこで負けたとすぐに分かりました。表彰台の座を掴むこともできたかもしれませんが、スタートが悪すぎた。」
