Pakistan Stands Firm with Palestine on Quds Day, Condemns Israeli Aggression

Amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, Pakistan has rallied behind the Palestinian people, expressing its unwavering support for their liberation struggle. On Quds Day, observed on the last Friday of Ramadan, political parties, leaders, and citizens across the country took to the streets to denounce the atrocities committed by Israeli forces and reaffirm their solidarity with the beleaguered Palestinians.

In major cities such as Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and numerous others, massive rallies were held to mark the occasion. Participants waved Palestinian flags, chanted slogans condemning Israel's occupation, and called for an end to the violence that has claimed thousands of innocent lives.

The rallies served as a powerful demonstration of Pakistan's deep-rooted commitment to the Palestinian cause. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif unequivocally stated that Pakistan would continue its unwavering moral and diplomatic support to the Palestinian people until their liberation from Israeli occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with pre-1967 borders.

"For decades, Israel has illegally occupied Palestine and Jerusalem, flagrantly violating international laws and human rights to maintain its oppressive regime while the international community stands idly by," the Prime Minister lamented. "The Israeli occupation and atrocities have spanned the last seven decades, but their intensity has escalated significantly since last October."

The Prime Minister painted a grim picture of the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza, where Israeli airstrikes have targeted hospitals, refugee camps, and schools, resulting in the deaths of over 32,000 Palestinians, including 17,000 children. Despite international calls for a ceasefire, Israel continues its relentless bombardment of innocent civilians.

"Pakistan demands that the international community live up to its responsibility and exert pressure on Israel to cease its oppression of the Palestinian people," the Prime Minister emphasized. "We urge Muslims in Pakistan and worldwide to offer special prayers for our Palestinian brothers and sisters on this sacred occasion."

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz lauded the resilience and determination of the Palestinians in the face of adversity. "The sacrifices of our Palestinian brothers for freedom will not be in vain," she asserted. "Israel's attempts to subjugate the Palestinians through oppression and coercion will ultimately fail."

Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) leaders, including Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi, Maulana Hayat Abbas Najafi, and Maulana Malik Abbas, called on the federal government to officially observe Al-Quds Day. They denounced Israel's unrelenting airstrikes that have devastated Gaza, resulting in the deaths of thousands of civilians and the displacement of countless others.

"It is imperative for humanity and the people of Pakistan to extend a helping hand to the people of Gaza," Zaidi implored. "We must provide life-saving assistance, including food and medicine, to those who are suffering."

Pakistan's unwavering support for Palestine reflects the deep bonds of history, culture, and faith that unite the two nations. The Pakistani people stand shoulder to shoulder with their Palestinian brothers and sisters in their struggle for self-determination and a just and lasting peace.
