Coin and Oxfam Italia Launch "Aggiungi Amore" Initiative to Provide Safe Water to Underprivileged Communities
Milan, Italy - In the spirit of the holiday season, Coin, the renowned Italian retailer, has once again partnered with Oxfam Italia to launch a charitable initiative aimed at providing access to safe water for underprivileged communities in need. The initiative, aptly named "Aggiungi Amore," which translates to "Add Love" in English, aims to deliver 2.6 million gallons of clean water to those who lack it.
Joining forces with fashion designer Alessandro Enriquez, Coin and Oxfam Italia have created a captivating collection of limited-edition products that will be sold at select Coin stores nationwide and online. The collection features an array of exquisite items, including a sparkling wine bottle adorned with vibrant palm trees and hearts, symbolizing the life-giving essence of water.
Furthermore, a range of porcelain serving plates crafted by Fasano Ceramiche adds a touch of elegance to the collection. Emblazoned with a colorful array of hearts, waves, stars, and palms, these plates invite a sense of joy and camaraderie to the table.
"We are honored to collaborate with Oxfam this Christmas season," said Monica Gagliardi, Coin's Marketing and Digital Transformation Director. "Last year, our partnership brought 1.3 million gallons of safe water to 87 countries, particularly to those in need in Palestine, Ethiopia, Yemen, and Jordan."
Coin's partnership with Oxfam Italia traces its roots back to 2013, when the two organizations embarked on a three-year initiative dedicated to empowering women. In 2020, they reunited their efforts, focusing on the crucial issue of water accessibility, a fundamental tool in combating inequality.
According to Oxfam Italia, an alarming one-fourth of the world's population, approximately two billion people, face severe limitations in accessing clean drinking water. The "Aggiungi Amore" initiative, generously supported by Coin, empowers Oxfam Italia to distribute vital potabilizing add-ons, distribute water buckets and mobile tanks, install manual pumps, and provide essential personal care kits.
"Our goal this year is to extend our reach to as many individuals as possible, particularly children and women," said Marta Pieri, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Oxfam Italia. "Children are disproportionately affected by water scarcity, while women often bear the burden of ensuring their families' basic needs, including accessing clean water, which often requires arduous daily journeys."
Oxfam Italia emphasizes that every donation collected through the "Aggiungi Amore" initiative will make a tangible difference in the lives of those in desperate need, adding, "Your generosity will not only quench their thirst but also empower them with the opportunity to live healthier and more fulfilling lives."
The "Aggiungi Amore" initiative reflects Coin and Oxfam Italia's unwavering commitment to social responsibility and their belief that every individual deserves access to basic necessities, including clean water, regardless of their circumstances. By partnering with fashion designer Alessandro Enriquez to create a captivating collection of limited-edition products, the initiative not only raises funds but also raises awareness about the urgent need to address water scarcity.
Coin and Oxfam Italia extend an invitation to all to join their "Aggiungi Amore" initiative, emphasizing that every contribution, no matter how small, can make a profound difference in the lives of those in need. By adding their love and support, customers can help provide safe water to underprivileged communities around the world, bringing joy, hope, and a brighter future to those who need it most.
