Nexera, a blockchain infrastructure protocol, announced that it is investigating an exploit that led to the theft of $1.8 million, according to crypto security firm Cyvers.

The company, formerly known as AllianceBlock, stated on Friday that it is “investigating the exploit.”

Following the attack, the NXRA token contract was suspended and transactions were halted on decentralised exchanges. Nexera also said that it is contacting centralised exchanges to suspend trading on those platforms.

The NXRA token is currently trading at $0.036, showing a 40% drop from its value prior to the exploit, according to CoinMarketCap.

Blockchain investigator ZachXBT noted on Telegram that the attacker is linked to a number of recent private key compromises, including SpaceCatch, Concentric Finance, OKX DEX, Serenity Shield and Reach.

Data provided by Zapper shows that the attacker currently holds 32.5 million NXRA tokens, valued at $1.23 million, and $555,000 in Tether USDT stablecoins.

Analysing the wallets of the Nexera protocol attackers, we note a connection to the LunaFi hack with both an address directly involved and the address used to finance Ether’s Nexera hacker.

Currently USDT 450,000 has been recycled through the Stargate Finance cross-chain protocol and USDT 698,058 in $NXRA tokens on UniSwap. While another USDT 449,000 of the theft is still sitting (as of 7/8/2024) on wallet 0x6Bd33C8256F7A37336B2B8fe967321e25540337b.

目前，450,000 USDT 已透過 Stargate Finance 跨鏈協議回收，698,058 USDT 在 UniSwap 上以 NXRA 代幣形式回收。而另一筆被盜的 USDT 449,000 仍然存在（截至 2024 年 7 月 8 日）錢包 0x6Bd33C8256F7A37336B2B8fe967321e25540337b 上。
