Promoter Ash Avildsen of Sumerian Records attempted to confront this problem head-on this year by booking numerous up and coming bands for the reactivated ‘Mayhem Festival’ and ‘Summer Slaughter Tour’.

Rising British alternative metal outfit Sleep Token have been named as a headliner for the closing date of next year’s ‘Download Festival’. However, the festival is also relying on some old favorites in Green Day and Korn to headline the other two dates of the fest.
