Nostalgic Tractor Parade Charms Southern Larzac Villages

On Saturday, April 20th, the Los Fenejaïres del Larzac association embarked on a captivating journey through the picturesque villages and hamlets of southern Larzac, accompanied by a cavalcade of vintage tractors.

Led by a fleet of approximately fifteen aged tractors, the procession served as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude towards the municipalities that have extended their support to the association. "This parade is our way of expressing our appreciation for the assistance we've received from these towns and an opportunity to showcase our beloved machinery," explained president Quentin Foulquier and former president Rémi Frontin.

Representing an impressive array of brands, including Ford, Mac Cormick, Massey Ferguson, Renault, and Someca, these venerable tractors boasted an average age of around six decades. Embarking from Saint-Michel-d'Alajou in the morning, the convoy made several stops en route before arriving at Le Cros at approximately 4:45 PM.

As the tractors rolled into town, they were warmly greeted by the local municipality, led by Mayor Alain Viala, along with an enthusiastic crowd of residents who had gathered at "La voûte," a charming bar located within "La maison aux arches." After a brief respite, the procession continued towards Sorbs, the final destination of the day's tour.

The next anticipated event hosted by the Fenaisons à l'ancienne au Caylar will take place all day on Saturday, July 13th. For further information or inquiries, please contact the Midi Libre correspondent at 06 46 73 24 30.
