Sleep Token Perform Without Two Members in Zurich; Fan-Filmed Footage
Nov 07, 2024 at 02:11 am
While it certainly wasn't the original plan, Sleep Token took to the stage in Zurich, Switzerland last night (November 05th) without two of their members.
Sleep Token performed without two members last night (November 05th) in Zurich, Switzerland due to both members falling ill. The masked alternative metal collective revealed the news just hours before they were set to hit the stage at Halle 622. Both members, bassist III and guitarist/vocalist IV, were noticeably absent from the performance.
However, instead of scrapping the concert, the group decided to go ahead with the show, utilizing backing tracks that consisted of recordings of the two absent members, which were captured during tour rehearsals. If you’re curious to see how that panned out, some fan-filmed footage has arrived online below.
Here’s how the setlist for the show ran:
“The Night Does Not Belong To God”
“The Offering”
“Dark Signs”
“Higher”
“Atlantic”
“Hypnosis”
“Like That”
“Alkaline”
“Missing Limbs”
“Chokehold”
“The Summoning”
“Granite”
“Rain”
“Ascensionism”
“Take Me Back To Eden”
“Euclid”
Following the unconventional performance, the band offered:
“Zurich, thank you for your unwavering support and for raising your voices with us last night. In the absence of our brothers III and IV, your energy filled the room and carried us through.
We are grateful beyond words for this collective, and for each of you who shared in the Ritual with us. Your presence means everything.”
