The limited-edition coins will go on sale to the public on May 16, 2023. Collectors and enthusiasts can purchase the coins through the Mint's website at www.usmint.gov or by visiting authorized coin dealers.

The American Innovation, Maine dollar coins are struck in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition and feature captivating designs. The reverse portrays a profile portrait of Dr. Lown with his iconic direct current defibrillator in operation, while the obverse depicts the Statue of Liberty in profile with an annually changing privy mark.

The 25-coin rolls are priced at $34.50 each and are available in limited quantities of 8,400 rolls from the Philadelphia Mint and 7,350 rolls from the Denver Mint. An order limit of 10 rolls from each facility will be in place until 24 hours after sales begin.

The 100-coin canvas mini-bags are priced at $117.50 each and will be produced in limited quantities of 3,150 bags from the Philadelphia Mint and 2,950 bags from the Denver Mint. A 10-bag per facility order limit will apply.
