Hoboken Police Seek Assault Suspects From Halloween Incident on Washington Street, Which Includes a Man in a Deadpool Costume

Four suspects are being sought by the Hoboken Police Department in connection with an assault that occurred on Halloween on Washington Street. One of the suspects was allegedly dressed in a Deadpool costume.

On October 31, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., Hoboken Police Officer Shyenna Vega responded to a report of a simple assault on the 50th block of Washington Street.

The victim stated that she was walking northbound on Washington Street when an unidentified individual, wearing all red, ran directly into her and struck her, possibly intentionally. The victim was knocked down and sustained injuries to her mouth and knee.

The attacker and three other individuals fled from the scene.

A follow-up investigation, led by Det. Paul Quinn, has identified four individuals of interest.

The main suspect is believed to have been wearing a “Deadpool” costume or hoodie and a dark colored face mask. He now faces charges of aggravated assault, due to the extent of the victim’s injuries.

The other individuals being sought appear to be young adults and were wearing the following: Black pants and a gray sweatshirt, white pants, black sweatshirt, and a ski-mask, and finally blue pants, ski mask, and a dinosaur backpack.

Anyone with any information and/or who can identify the individuals is urged to call Quinn at (201) 420-2100, ext. 3147, or email Quinnp@hobokenpdnj.gov.

Many Hoboken residents were up in arms over a nanny being knocked unconscious by a man, Troy Timberlake, who was not provoked at Church Square Park around 12:30 p.m. on Halloween, as HCV first reported.

This led to a public safety meeting being held at City Hall on November 18, where residents expressed concerns about homelessness, policing, and overall a lack of a plan to remedy these situations.
