Angeles City to Award P100,000 Reward for Safe Return of Missing Girl

Angeles City, Philippines - March 21, 2024 - The Angeles City government is poised to bestow a substantial monetary reward of P100,000 upon a selfless couple for their invaluable assistance in securing the safe return of a missing five-year-old girl named Alley. The reward will serve as a heartfelt expression of gratitude to Janette Escalona and Allan Escalona for their remarkable efforts in locating Alley's whereabouts.

Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. expressed the city's deep appreciation for the couple's unwavering support during the arduous search operation. "We are eternally indebted to the Escalonas for their unwavering commitment to resolving this harrowing incident," Mayor Lazatin remarked.

In a poignant gesture, the mayor has extended an invitation to Alley's parents to be present at the official award ceremony honoring the Escalonas. "This monetary token not only recognizes their selfless actions but also emphasizes the paramount importance of community involvement in safeguarding the well-being of our citizens," Mayor Lazatin emphasized.

Social media posts by Ally's cousin, Jessica Audrey Campos, shed light on how the Escalona couple played a pivotal role in identifying Alley. According to Campos's account, the abductor had taken Alley to Novaliches, where she was forced into a harrowing situation begging for sustenance.

The young girl's disappearance on March 17, 2024, after an alleged abduction by an unknown individual, triggered an immediate and comprehensive search and rescue operation led by the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO). The ACPO, under the direction of Mayor Lazatin, spared no effort in their tireless efforts to locate Alley.

Despite the successful return of Alley, the ACPO has vowed to continue their exhaustive investigation into her abduction, determined to bring the perpetrator to justice and prevent such heinous crimes in the future.

The city government's decision to award the Escalonas with a substantial monetary reward serves as a powerful testament to the community's unwavering commitment to protecting the innocent and ensuring the safety and well-being of its residents.
