Additionally, the magazine previously recognized Hewn among its esteemed list of the 100 best bakeries nationwide.

The bakery's forthcoming Winnetka location will occupy the former site of Bick's Coins, a beloved establishment that ceased operations at the commencement of the year. John Bickmore, the proprietor of Bick's Coins and a revered member of the North Shore Coin Club, initially relocated his business to Northbrook in 1983. Reflecting on his tenure as owner of the coin shop, Bickmore remarked, "It has undoubtedly been an extraordinary adventure."
