Crypto communities and entities joined forces to conduct relief operations in the Bicol region, which was one of the hardest-hit areas during the onslaught of Super Tropical Storm “Kristine” that resulted in massive flooding and multiple deaths.

On October 24, 11:36 a.m., popular Filipino crypto influencer Coach Miranda Miner, or Arlone Paul Abello in real life, posted proof that he met different entities online to plan a relief operations campaign.

10월 24일 오전 11시 36분, 필리핀의 유명 암호화폐 인플루언서 코치 미란다 마이너(실제로는 알론 폴 아벨로)가 구호 활동 캠페인을 계획하기 위해 온라인에서 다양한 단체를 만났다는 증거를 게시했습니다.

The relief operations, tagged as “Tabang Na Para sa Bicol” campaign, were led by the Global Miranda Miner Group (GMMG), Abello’s community.

"Tabang Na Para sa Bicol" 캠페인이라는 태그가 붙은 구호 활동은 Abello의 커뮤니티인 GMMG(Global Miranda Miner Group)가 주도했습니다.

The “Tabang Na Para sa Bicol” relief operations campaign was launched and donations were opened on October 24, 12:41 p.m.

As of 4:00 p.m. on the same day of the campaign’s launch, the team had raised a total of ₱139,500.

캠페인 시작 당일 오후 4시 현재 팀은 총 ₱139,500를 모금했습니다.

The relief operations concluded on October 31, 2024. In a post by GMMG, the Tabang Na Para sa Bicol campaign had:

This was not the first time that crypto communities, projects, and firms were involved in charity work in the Philippines. Earlier this year, several crypto entities also joined forces to provide aid to victims of Typhoon Odette.

암호화폐 커뮤니티, 프로젝트, 회사가 필리핀에서 자선 활동에 참여한 것은 이번이 처음이 아닙니다. 올해 초 여러 암호화폐 기업도 태풍 오데트(Odette) 피해자들에게 지원을 제공하기 위해 힘을 합쳤습니다.
