On October 24, 11:36 a.m., popular Filipino crypto influencer Coach Miranda Miner, or Arlone Paul Abello in real life, posted proof that he met different entities online to plan a relief operations campaign.

The relief operations, tagged as “Tabang Na Para sa Bicol” campaign, were led by the Global Miranda Miner Group (GMMG), Abello’s community.

The “Tabang Na Para sa Bicol” relief operations campaign was launched and donations were opened on October 24, 12:41 p.m.

As of 4:00 p.m. on the same day of the campaign’s launch, the team had raised a total of ₱139,500.

“Every donation, no matter the amount, brings hope and makes a real difference in someone’s life. Together, we can be a source of strength and comfort for our fellow Filipinos. Maraming salamat sa malasakit at walang sawang suporta, ka-Miranda! Sama-sama nating iparating ang tulong sa mga nangangailangan.”

The relief operations concluded on October 31, 2024. In a post by GMMG, the Tabang Na Para sa Bicol campaign had:

Donated 1,000 food packs to families in need

Provided 500 hygiene kits to affected communities

Deployed 100 volunteers to assist in the distribution of aid

Raised a total of ₱2,347,000 from the crypto community

Meta Gaming Guild also donated 200,000 for the victims

This was not the first time that crypto communities, projects, and firms were involved in charity work in the Philippines. Earlier this year, several crypto entities also joined forces to provide aid to victims of Typhoon Odette.
