The company's shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange have increased by 17.8% in the first one and a half hours of March 21, pushing the share value to 4,730 yen ($31.74).

Among various companies holding BTC, Metaplanet's holdings are currently the 12th-largest according to the data from BitBo's BitcoinTreasuries.NET. The company currently has 3,050 bitcoins in its reserve which is valued at $4.1 billion.
