A woman has been left feeling uneasy after a man's 'creepy' approach at the airport.
Taking to social media, Kirsten recounted how during her layover, she received an unexpected message from a stranger who had taken her name and number from her luggage tag.
The text he sent said: "Hi Kristen, my name is Nate. I saw you and thought you were so beautiful so I had to find a way to talk to you. I saw your number on your luggage tag and decided to text you. I promise this isn't as weird as it seems. Give a guy a chance?"
However, Kirsten was far from impressed and instead found his actions highly inappropriate. "First of all, he spelt my name wrong," she said. "Second of all, if he wanted to talk to me so badly, why didn't he come up and talk to me like a normal human being? This just feels like such an invasion of privacy."
She also voiced concerns about her safety, adding: "I have no idea who this guy is. I didn't notice a guy looking at me or anything and I'm also extra weirded out because I have my address on my luggage tag so he could potentially know where I live now."

In light of the incident, she advised fellow travellers to keep their luggage tags turned inside out to protect their personal details. In response to the post, people were left stunned, with one commenting: "My jaw literally dropped. I'm horrified." Another came up with a clever solution, writing: "Luggage tags with covers only."
A different user offered an alternate perspective, mentioning: "He might have been a bit shy and was nervous about directly talking to you. He probably isn't a threat at all, but one never knows." An additional comment from someone else read: "This is something that would never even cross my mind! That's so scary."
Sharing a similar unnerving incident, another person recounted: "Had the guy who checked me in and scanned my ticket at the gate email me asking me out before the flight took off because I was polite, smiled and said thank you. He said he felt a genuine connection." This prompted another user to reveal their precautionary measures: "My luggage tags only have phone numbers. If they want my address they can call!"
