The SG60 collection will be released in phases throughout 2025, said the Singapore Mint in a media statement on March 13.
Collectors can now add souvenirs marking the nation’s 60th birthday to their collection.
The SG60 collection by the Singapore Mint will be released in phases throughout 2025, said the coin mint in a press release on March 13.
Checks by ST highlight that most of the items in the collection can already be purchased or pre-ordered on the Singapore Mint’s official website.
The Singapore Mint’s products are also available at retail shops at Chinatown Point, Suntec City mall and the Coin Gallery in Teban Gardens Crescent.
The SG60 collectibles are centred around three main themes: Singapore’s heritage districts, the Merlion and the kebaya.
Items in the Jalan Jalan Through Heritage Districts of Singapore collection celebrate five iconic districts – Changi, Jurong, Tiong Bahru, Toa Payoh and Queenstown – in the form of medallions and gold-plated bookmarks.
The medallions, weighing 18g and measuring 38mm in diameter, are crafted from sterling silver and feature a three-dimensional rendering of a district in colour on the obverse. The reverse showcases the Singapore Mint's hallmark and the year of minting. They are priced at $99 each.
Bookmarks, meanwhile, are circular-shaped and feature a depiction in colour of a district. They are priced at $15 each.
Souvenirs in the Timeless Merlion collection feature Singapore’s iconic half-lion, half-fish mascot, and include limited-edition ingots weighing 80g and 180g in sterling silver.
The Dazzling Merlion ingot – available from $120 – comes with an individual serial number prefixed with “SG60” on its back. It is also presented in a specially designed box.
In partnership with Mr Merlion & Friends, the Singapore Mint also introduced a series of products including a Merlion medallion blind box ($16.90), a 24K Merlion gold frame ($45), and a 24K Gold Foil Merlion mini figurine ($45).
The medallion blind box features three surprise tiers: four silver designs, two rose gold designs, and one 24K gold-plated design. The medallion can double as a keychain.
A magnet set showcasing seven distinct kebaya styles – priced from $70 – represents the third theme in the SG60 series.
The theme honours Singapore’s first multinational Unesco nomination to be successfully inscribed on the list of the world’s intangible cultural heritage.
The kebaya, a traditional women’s garment popular in South-east Asia, was officially added to the Unesco Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2024, following a joint nomination by Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
The collectibles will be on display at the Singapore International Coin Fair at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre from March 21 to 23.
Enthusiasts can visit booth S38 to discover the collectibles and take advantage of exclusive event-only promotions.
