Good on Sleep Token for carrying on in the face of adversity!
Sleep Token bassist III and guitarist/vocalist IV fell ill and were unable to perform at tonight's Sleep Token show at Halle 622 in Zurich, Switzerland. However, the band decided to carry on with the show using pre-recorded tracks from both members instead of canceling altogether.
"Zurich, following the earlier news of IV's illness, we regret to share that our brother III has now also fallen ill and will be unable to perform tonight," wrote Sleep Token. "The show will go ahead as planned, using pre-recorded tracks from both III and IV, captured during our recent tour preparations. We always endeavor to avoid canceling a Ritual unless completely unavoidable, and we hope this outcome is more acceptable to you than a last-minute cancellation."
"Thank you for your understanding and support through these unforeseen changes. Tonight, we perform for them, and for you."
Sleep Token kicked off their European tour on February 17th in Oslo, Norway, and are set to wrap up the tour on March 18th in London, U.K. The band will then head out on a North American tour, set to begin on April 12th in Seattle, WA, and conclude on May 13th in Los Angeles, CA.
