The Miami Dolphins and former Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. have reportedly "mutually agreed to part ways" after less than one full season, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero on Friday (December 13).
"The #Dolphins and three-time Pro Bowl WR Odell Beckham Jr. have mutually agreed to part ways, per sources," Pelissero wrote on his X account. "Beckham is hoping for more opportunities elsewhere and the team is granting his release. He’ll be on waivers until Monday."
Beckham, 32, signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Dolphins in May. He recorded nine receptions for 55 yards on 18 total targets in nine games, having made zero starts in 2024.
The three-time Pro Bowler began the season on the physically unable to perform list following offseason surgery before being activated for the first time on October 5. He didn't record a single catch through his first three games and 33 snaps.
Beckham will be kept on waivers until Monday (December 16), at which point he is free to sign with any team interested in him. He is owed an estimated $200,000 for the balance of the season as he will likely fall well short of incentives in the deal.
The former LSU standout signed a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens last April and recorded 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns in six starts and 14 total appearances during the 2023 season.
Beckham was a Super Bowl champion during his lone season with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, as well as a two-time second-team All-Pro, three-time Pro Bowler and the 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
