A town council has been recognised by the Royal British Legion.

Highworth Town Council has been recognised by the Highworth and District Royal British Legion with a plaque in appreciation for the council's support.
The gesture was made by Gerry Evans, chairman of the Legion, who presented the plaque to town clerk Deanne Rose and Highworth town mayor, councillor Julie Murphy.
Mr Evans said: "The town council has consistently supported our branch throughout the years, and this plaque is a way of acknowledging that partnership, which we at the Legion, value highly."
Councillor Murphy accepted the plaque, adding: "We at the council appreciate this recognition and value the role the Legion plays in our community."
In other news, Highworth Town Council is inviting residents to a free, family-friendly VE Day celebration on Thursday, May 8.
The event will feature a full-size replica Spitfire, military vehicle displays, and the lighting of the beacon.
Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in 1940s attire and bring their baking skills for a bake-off competition with era-specific recipes.
Chelsea Millard will be providing live music throughout the afternoon, and the Danters funfair, featuring a vintage chair-o-plane, aeroplanes, and hook a duck, will also be present.
This event will honour Victory in Europe Day, uniting the community in remembrance and celebration.
