Glastonbury's Woodsies Area Unveils Star-Studded 2024 Lineup

Glastonbury Festival unveils an exciting lineup for its Woodsies area, adding artists like Kim Gordon and The Vaccines. The festival has been gradually announcing performers for stages beyond the iconic Pyramid Stage since releasing its official 2024 lineup. Kim Gordon, the legendary alternative rock artist and former Sonic Youth icon, joins the Woodsies stage alongside The Vaccines, Lambrini Girls, Voice of Baceprot, and The K's. The lineup also includes Declan McKenna, Arlo Parks, Fat White Family, Soccer Mommy, and the emerging artist JayaHadADream, who won the festival's Emerging Talent Competition.

Woodsies Area Boasts Impressive Lineup for Glastonbury 2024

Glastonbury Festival has announced an extensive lineup for the Woodsies Area, adding renowned artists such as Kim Gordon and The Vaccines to its roster.

The Worthy Farm festival unveiled its official 2024 lineup last month, with Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA confirmed to headline the iconic Pyramid Stage this summer, while Shania Twain graces the coveted Legends slot on Sunday.

In the lead-up to this year's edition, organizers have been steadily counting down the weeks by revealing artists performing across various stages on the site. This began with news of new acts headlining the Acoustic Stage, followed by details on those joining the Field Of Avalon, Shangri-La, Fields of Avalon, Silver Hayes, The Glade, and more.

Today, the comprehensive lineup for the Woodsies Area has been unveiled, featuring a multitude of artists added to the bill.

Joining previously announced performers Jamie xx, Romy, James Blake, and Sleaford Mods is 1990s alternative rock legend and former Sonic Youth icon Kim Gordon, who recently released her critically acclaimed second solo album, "The Collective."

The Vaccines, along with the likes of Lambrini Girls, Voice of Baceprot, and The K's, also join the lineup for the Woodsies 2024 stage. For the latter, the Glasto slot comes fresh from giving The Libertines a run for their money earlier this month by claiming the number-two spot on the UK charts with their debut album, "I Wonder If The World Knows?"

"We are absolutely buzzing to play Glastonbury for the first time ever," the band wrote on Twitter, sharing the news. "Come and find us at the Woodsies Stage – North West corner of the site between the Pyramid and Silver Hayes. Bucket list stuff – see you soon."

Other acts confirmed for the stage include Declan McKenna, Yard Act, Arlo Parks, Fat White Family, Blondshell, Soccer Mommy, NewDad, Mannequin Pussy, Kneecap, and more.

Rising artist JayaHadADream has also been added to the lineup after winning the festival's 2024 Emerging Talent Competition, securing a coveted slot for this year's event.

The Nottingham-based rapper impressed a judging panel – including Glasto boss Emily Eavis, industry professionals, and Glastonbury's main stage bookers – with her energetic and thought-provoking hip-hop.

"It feels completely surreal, both humbling and reassuring," she said after the win. "There are so many amazing emerging artists doing incredible things, so to feel seen and heard in such a busy climate is amazing, especially in hip-hop where women are so underrepresented."

In addition to the main Woodsies stage, the lineup for the area's smaller Tree Stage has also been released, featuring performances from The Orb, Ana Roxanne, KMRI, Klein, Bea Brennan, and more. Explore the full artist list in the poster below.

Ahead of the 2023 festival edition, Glasto organizers also announced a brand-new stage dedicated to South Asian talent within the Shangri-La area, with Bobby Friction, Anish Kumar, Nabihah Iqbal, and Nikki Nair among those on its lineup.

The Acoustic Stage lineup was confirmed a few days prior and is set to feature Scouting For Girls, Stornoway, Ocean Color Scene, Angie McMahon, and Red Hot Chili Peppers cover band Red Hot Chilli Pipers, along with Russell Crowe's Indoor Garden Party. The latter has notably drawn attention among festival-goers, many of whom took to social media to share their thoughts on the Gladiator actor's addition to the bill.
