The Croatian Mint has announced a new issue of the official 2025 euro coin set in mint luster quality.
The Croatian Mint has unveiled the official 2025 euro coin set in mint luster quality.
Following the first Dubrovnik Euro Set 2023 and last year’s Pula Euro Set 2024, both of which garnered substantial interest at home and abroad, the new set will feature Karlovac.
The city of Karlovac is known as the “town on four rivers.” Founded in 1579 as a military stronghold by order of Archduke Charles of Habsburg, Karlovac was a crucial defensive point against the constant threats posed by the Ottoman Empire.
Designed in the shape of a perfect six-pointed star, its layout is an outstanding example of Renaissance fortification architecture. Today, Karlovac is renowned for its numerous bathing spots, parks, and, most notably, Dubovac Castle—a fortress dating back to the 13th century.
It was only during the rule of the Frankopan family that the castle was transformed into a true Renaissance residence with Gothic elements. The Euro Set will be available for purchase via the online shop from 6 February.
