Chomiski and Whitfield Both Picked Up Trophies at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals

Taylor Chomiski and Kris Whitfield both picked up trophies at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Chomiski picked up his second NHRA National event Wally, both he has gotten from Las Vegas, while Whitfield went on to claim his fifth NHRA Wally in the Super Comp category.

Joining them in the winner’s circle was Chad Guilford (SS), Scott Burton (STK), Ken Mostowich (SG), Lawrence Paden (SST), Bryan Warr (TS), and Steve Will (TD).

Competition Eliminator

Taylor Chomiski picked up his second NHRA National event Wally after a bye run in the final round after Jeff Lane was shut off for mechanical issues. Chomiski took the tree to head to the winner’s circle.

Brooke Heckel was the lone semi-finalist.

Super Stock

Chad Guilford picked up his first NHRA National event Wally after defeating one of the best, Justin Lamb, in the final round. Lamb turned on the red light by -.005, handing the easy win over to Guilford. He was .012 up front and ran an 8.631 at 160 mph for the trophy.

Rick McKinney and Brad Burton were the semi-finalists.

Stock Eliminator

Scott Burton visited the winner’s circle for his fifth time on the NHRA tour after defeating David McGaugh in the final round. McGaugh turned on the red light by -.036, handing the easy win over to Burton. He was .034 up front and ran an 10.038 at 134 mph for the trophy.

Steve Hahn was the lone semi-finalist.

Super Comp

Kris Whitfield took home his fifth NHRA National event Wally after defeating Cooper Chun in the final round. Just a coin flip apart on the tree, .005 to .006, Whitfield ran closer to the 9.05 index with a 9.055 at 174 mph. Chun broke out, going a 9.036 at 158 mph.

Tanner Hiatt was the semi-finalist.

Super Gas

Ken Mostowich visited the winner’s circle after defeating Mark Philbrick in the final round to pick up his sixth NHRA Wally. Just a coin flip apart on the tree, .019 to .020, Mostowich ran a 10.060 at 155 mph on the 10.05 index to take home the trophy.

Robert Naber was the lone semi-finalist.

Super Street

Lawrence Paden picked up his second NHRA National event Wally in his second final round after defeating Nick Pressimone in the final round. Paden crushed a .001 light on the tree and ran a 11.093 at 135 mph to get to the stripe first and take home the trophy.

David Thompson and David Kiesel were the semi-finalists.

Top Dragster

Steve Will picked up his second NHRA National event Wally after defeating John Richardson in the final round. Richardson had issues getting the car to fire, handing the bye run over to Will. Will ran a 6.125 at 234 mph to head to the winner’s circle.

Donna Patterson and Jordan Ward were the semi-finalists.

Top Sportsman

Bryan Warr took home the trophy after defeating Ed Olpin in the final round for his third NHRA National event Wally. Warr had the starting line advantage, .020 to .031, and ran a 6.824 at 200 mph on his 6.82 dial-in to lock out Olpin at the hit.

William King and Richard Okerman were the semi-finalists.
