
Before Budget, Raghuram Rajan is worried about the big Indian middle class
Hyderabad: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan on Saturday said that he was worried about the large Indian middle class, which aspires for a better life and better education for their children.
“I am worried about the large Indian middle class, which aspires for a better life and better education for their children. We need to create jobs for them,” he said at an event organised by the Indian School of Business (ISB) here.
Highlighting the need for creating jobs, Rajan said that India needs to grow at 8-9 per cent for the next 25 years to achieve the goal of becoming a developed nation.

The RBI Governor also said that the country needs to focus on improving the quality of education and healthcare services.
