Hyderabad: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan on Saturday said that he was worried about the large Indian middle class, which aspires for a better life and better education for their children.

海得拉巴：印度储备银行（RBI）行长拉古拉姆·拉詹（Raghuram Rajan）周六表示，他对印度庞大的中产阶级感到担忧，他们渴望为孩子提供更好的生活和更好的教育。

“I am worried about the large Indian middle class, which aspires for a better life and better education for their children. We need to create jobs for them,” he said at an event organised by the Indian School of Business (ISB) here.

“我担心印度庞大的中产阶级，他们渴望更好的生活，为孩子提供更好的教育。我们需要为他们创造就业机会，”他在印度商学院（ISB）举办的一次活动中说道。

Highlighting the need for creating jobs, Rajan said that India needs to grow at 8-9 per cent for the next 25 years to achieve the goal of becoming a developed nation.

拉詹强调了创造就业机会的必要性，他表示，印度需要在未来25年实现8%至9%的经济增长，才能实现成为发达国家的目标。

“We need to create jobs for the large Indian middle class, which aspires for a better life and better education for their children. We need to grow at 8-9 per cent for the next 25 years to achieve the goal of becoming a developed nation,” he added.

The RBI Governor also said that the country needs to focus on improving the quality of education and healthcare services.

“We need to focus on improving the quality of education and healthcare services. We need to create a society where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of technology in improving the lives of people, Rajan said that India needs to embrace new technologies and use them for the benefit of society.
