도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령의 공식 취임을 앞두고 발행된 '공식 트럼프'($TRUMP) 밈 코인이 급등했다.

A meme coin named 'Official Trump' ($TRUMP) was issued ahead of the official inauguration of Donald Trump as the President of the United States, and it has surged since then. Solana, which forms the basis of the Official Trump ecosystem, also hit an all-time high.

도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령의 공식 취임을 앞두고 '공식 트럼프($TRUMP)'라는 밈 코인이 발행됐고, 이후 급등했다. 트럼프 공식 생태계의 근간을 이루는 솔라나(Solana)도 역대 최고치를 경신했다.

As of 7 a.m. on the 20th, Solana was trading at $273 on CoinMarketCap, a global coin market reporting site, up 9.41% from 24 hours ago. Earlier, Solana had surged to $275, marking an all-time high. Solana's trading volume, which was only $3 billion the previous day, skyrocketed to $26 billion. Its market cap also jumped to 5th place.

솔라나는 20일 오전 7시 기준 글로벌 코인 시장 보고 사이트인 코인마켓캡에서 24시간 전보다 9.41% 오른 273달러에 거래되고 있다. 앞서 솔라나는 275달러까지 급등해 사상 최고치를 기록했다. 전날 30억 달러에 불과했던 솔라나의 거래량은 260억 달러로 급증했다. 시가총액도 5위로 뛰어올랐다.

Meme coins are speculative cryptocurrencies created based on parodies or jokes without intrinsic utility. Official Trump, also known as 'Trump Coin', was issued on the 17th ahead of Trump's official inauguration. It surpassed a market cap of $10 billion within a day of issuance, becoming the second-largest meme coin by market cap.

밈 코인은 본질적인 유용성이 없는 패러디나 농담을 기반으로 만들어진 투기적 암호화폐입니다. '트럼프 코인'으로도 불리는 공식 트럼프 코인은 트럼프의 공식 취임을 앞두고 지난 17일 발행됐다. 발행 하루 만에 시가총액 100억 달러를 돌파하며 시가총액 기준 두 번째로 큰 밈 코인이 됐다.

President-elect Trump pledged to become a "pro-cryptocurrency president" during last year's election. When Trump Coin appeared, he stated on his social networking service (SNS), "Celebrate everything we support 'victory'" and encouraged people to "join the very special Trump community and acquire 'Official Trump'."

According to the Trump meme coin's website, 80% of the coin's circulation is held by two affiliates of the Trump Organization, where Trump's second son, Eric Trump, serves as executive vice president.

Therefore, a significant portion of the profits from the coin's price increase is expected to accrue to the Trump Organization. However, some point out that it is inappropriate for President-elect Trump to issue meme coins, citing potential conflicts of interest. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) mentioned the possibility of foreign governments or companies wanting to influence the U.S. by purchasing the coin to win Trump's favor.

따라서 코인 가격 상승으로 인한 이익의 상당 부분이 트럼프 조직에 귀속될 것으로 예상된다. 하지만 트럼프 당선인이 이해상충 가능성을 이유로 밈 코인을 발행하는 것은 부적절하다는 지적도 나온다. 월스트리트저널(WSJ)은 외국 정부나 기업이 트럼프의 환심을 사기 위해 해당 코인을 구매해 미국에 영향력을 행사하려는 가능성을 언급했다.

The issuer of Trump Coin announced that approximately 200 million coins have been issued so far, with an additional 800 million to be issued over the next three years. They also stated, "This Trump meme commemorates a leader who never backs down in the face of adversity."
