Cosmos recently launched Eureka, a solution that connects Ethereum and IBC networks. The new Eureka upgrade from Cosmos enhances IBC by introducing native Ethereum interoperability, simplifying the development of multi-chain applications.

In its pursuit of becoming the “internet of blockchains,” Cosmos has unveiled Eureka, a solution that integrates its IBC protocol with Ethereum.

As revealed in an April 10 announcement, Eureka advances the Cosmos IBC protocol from a network-specific standard to a broader universal interoperability layer, aiming to establish the hub as a pivotal point for multi-chain applications.

While bridges enable users to effortlessly transfer assets between blockchains, Eureka promises native interoperability for developers. Developers can access IBC connections, users, liquidity, and services through Eureka’s distribution zone, which does not require any additional infrastructure.

Users will be able to discover applications, services, and assets from the ecosystems integrated with the Cosmos Hub.

One of the first use cases will be Babylon, a Bitcoin staking protocol, which will allow users to transfer Bitcoin liquid staking tokens from Ethereum to its chain built on Cosmos.
