Nigerian national football team captain, William Troost-Ekong, has pledged to donate all future camp allowances and match bonuses to support the aspiring young footballers of Akwa Ibom State.

As the team's captain at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Ivory Coast, Troost-Ekong made history by emerging as the tournament's top scorer with three goals and earning the prestigious MVP award.
