Today, I start with Ripple and its $XRP token as the first in my list of altcoins.

Now, Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, was present at the White House Crypto Summit. It was the first time that the White House organized such an event. So, in other words, that was a big deal.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to share our perspective at the first-ever White House Crypto Summit last week. We discussed the importance of clear, consistent regulation that balances innovation and investor protection. I also highlighted how critical it is to have an administration-level focus on financial technology. In the U.S., we’re used to thinking about this at the agency level, but in other parts of the world, it’s approached at the prime minister or president level. It’s no coincidence that countries like Japan, Singapore and the UAE have risen to become global fintech leaders. They’ve had government leadership focused on the sector and on enabling the technologies of the future.

But Ripple is not only having success in the US. It also just received good news from the UAE. $XRP got the green light for crypto payments and services in the UAE.

Another big item is a new SEC proposal. It talks about XRP being a Strategic Financial Asset for the US. On page 4, there’s also a mention that XRP-based liquidity could replace Swift. That would involve $1.5 trillion. Global payments would shift to Ripple. If this materialized, this would be massive news.
