UBS Asset Management has launched a pioneering tokenized money market fund in Singapore, known as the UBS USD Money Market Investment Fund Token (uMINT).
UBS Asset Management has unveiled the launch of its first tokenized money market fund in Singapore, known as the UBS USD Money Market Investment Fund Token (uMINT). The fund is designed to provide institutional investors with a new and efficient way to interact with money market investments.
The uMINT fund is powered by Ethereum’s Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), which will enable faster transaction times, improved transparency, and lower administrative costs. The fund is specifically tailored for institutional investors seeking to gain exposure to short-term, highly liquid money market instruments.
Being part of a larger asset management趨勢 towards digital assets, the initiative by UBS also highlights the changing asset management landscape and the adaptation of established fund structures to meet the rapidly evolving market needs.
"We are excited to announce the launch of our first tokenized money market fund in Singapore, a key asset management hub with a progressive stance on digital assets,” said Maximilian Kunkel, Head of Product, Money Market Funds, UBS Asset Management.
“This fund is designed to meet the evolving needs of institutional investors seeking to gain efficient exposure to short-term, highly liquid money market instruments."
The fund will be available to institutional investors in Singapore through UBS Asset Management.
