"MLG is perfect entry for somebody interested in gaming": FaZe Banks promotes memecoin in video posted on his X community
Jan 08, 2025 at 03:20 am
FaZe Clan CEO and Twitch streamer Richard "Banks" recently promoted a memecoin in a video posted on his X community.
The memecoin in question is the $MLG coin, which is inspired by the Major League Gaming meme aesthetic and is said to be a good starting point for those entering the cryptocurrency market.
In a post within his BANK$ INTERN$ community on X, Banks stated:
"MLG is perfect entry for somebody interested in gaming. Good starting point if you're new to crypto and want something fun + engaging to hold."
Banks also included a disclaimer for those considering investing in the memecoin, writing:
"I will say this though, memecoins are very high risk and you should only put in what you can afford to lose. Also, do your own research before making any decisions."

Known for his leadership in the FaZe Clan and his entrepreneurial endeavors, Banks has been a strong advocate for cryptocurrency.
Besides investing in NFTs (non-fungible tokens), Banks has also expressed interest in integrating cryptocurrency into the organization through crypto-games.
In another post on Banks' X community, he discussed his views on the $MLG cryptocurrency in greater detail.
Highlighting the memecoin's potential in the gaming industry, Banks stated in the video:
"This is a good one to get into if you're interested in something that's gaming-related. It's also a good starting point if you're new to crypto and want something fun and engaging to hold."
However, Banks reiterated his stance on memecoins, emphasizing the high risk involved and advising viewers to only invest what they can afford to lose.
He concluded by saying:
"I'm not telling you to buy it, I'm just saying if you're interested in something that's gaming-related, good luck."
In other news, FaZe member Max "Plaqueboymax" was recently involved in a feud with Canadian rapper Drake.
The incident occurred when Drake mentioned being potentially "trolled" by Adin Ross for watching Plaqueboymax's broadcasts during a stream with Kick streamer Adin Ross. This remark did not sit well with the FaZe star, who reacted to the clip in his broadcast.
