IoTeX to Lead the DePIN Education Day in Washington D.C. on April 3rd
Apr 03, 2025 at 09:18 am
Representatives will meet with members of Congress to demonstrate how Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) integrate cryptocurrency into the real world
DePIN Education Day will be held in Washington on April 3rd.
An initiative launched by members of the Blockchain Association to highlight the role of Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) in integrating cryptocurrency into the real world, will be showcasing its significance for the United States.
Among the participating members in this initiative is IoTeX (IOTX), a blockchain platform designed for the Internet of Things (IoT).
According to the announcement by IOTX, their representatives will be engaging with members of Congress to discuss the DePIN initiative and its implications.
Pointing to a crucial aspect of Web3 technology, they will be highlighting how DePIN integrates cryptocurrency into the real world.
This integration is a significant factor for the United States as a leader in both blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.
Here's a brief introduction to IoTeX:
IoTeX (IOTX) is an open-source blockchain platform designed for the Internet of Things (IoT) with a focus on scalability, privacy, and the creation of a decentralized application ecosystem for the rapidly growing class of smart devices.
Launched in 2017 by a team of researchers at Stanford University and the University of California Berkeley, IoTeX is aiming to build a decentralized ecosystem for the next billion users.
The project is developing a new blockchain architecture to support a large number of IoT devices and institutions.
At the core of IoTeX is the concept of “blockchain within a blockchain.” The main network, or “root blockchain,” is responsible for network management and security, while internal blockchains, or “sub-blockchains,” are used to manage various IoT devices and process transactions.
The IoTeX network uses its native token, IOTX, for transaction fee payments and participation in network governance.
