Jeff Adkinson and Jerron Settles both hoisted trophies at the end of the day at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.
The Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals came to a close on Sunday at the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip with some first time winners and some old winners returning to the NHRA stage.
Jeff Adkinson and Jerron Settles led the weekend, picking up the Wally in Stock Eliminator and Super Gas. Adkinson tallied up his fifth NHRA National event Wally, his second in Stock, while Settles wheeled to his second win on the big stage.
Joining them in the winner’s circle was John Winslow (SS), Bill Weber (SC), and Aaron Steinkey (TS).

Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals
Super Stock
John Winslow picked up his first NHRA National event Wally in his first final round after defeating one of the best, Justin Lamb, in the final round. Just a coin flip apart on the tree, .035 to .037, Winslow got to the stripe first by .001 to pick up the win. He ran a 9.010 at 146 mph on his 8.99 dial-in.
Jody Lang was the lone semi-finalist.
Stock Eliminator
Jeff Adkinson visited the winner’s circle for his fifth time on the NHRA tour after defeating Joe Sorensen in the final round. Adkinson had the starting line advantage, .004 to .029, and ran a 9.356 at 130 mph on his 9.31 dial-in to pick up the trophy.
Bob Bender and Shelby Williams were the semi-finalists.
Super Comp
Bill Webber took home his first NHRA National event Wally after defeating Toby Payne in the final round. Webber had the starting line advantage, .006 to .016, and picked up the trophy on a 8.927 at 167 mph run.
Chad Webber and David Pohl were the semi-finalists.
Super Gas
Jerron Settles visited the winner’s circle after defeating John Parrino in the final round to pick up his second NHRA Wally. Just a coin flip apart on the tree, .036 to .040, Settles ran a 9.909 at 162 mph on the 9.90 index to take home the trophy.
Michael Boner and Evan Kowalski were the semi-finalists.
Top Sportsman
Aaron Steinkey took home the trophy after defeating Chris Newman in the final round for his fourth NHRA National event Wally. Steinkey had the starting line advantage, .008 to .029, and ran a 6.315 at 213 mph on his 6.31 dial-in to lock out Newman at the hit.
Kenneth Ratzloff and Richard Okerman were the semi-finalists.
