Mortgage Applications Decline

Mortgage applications experienced a second consecutive weekly decline as homebuyers await potential interest rate reductions, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. The market composite index fell by 0.7% for the week ending March 22 on a seasonally adjusted basis. This followed a 1.6% decrease in the preceding week.

Corporate Updates

Coinbase (COIN) shares fell by 2.3% after a federal judge ruled that the cryptocurrency exchange platform constitutes a securities dealer under US law. The ruling allows a lawsuit filed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission against Coinbase to proceed.
