Dragon's Dogma 2: What's Up with the Persistent Stalker?
Mar 26, 2024 at 02:06 am
In Dragon's Dogma 2, players encounter a mysterious stalker named Bermudo. To confront him, locate the hooded NPC who shouts "You!" and runs away. Approach Bermudo and grab him to initiate a conversation. The player can refuse to engage or demand compensation. Accepting the bribe results in a gold reward and Bermudo's disappearance, while refusing leads to a fight, Bermudo's capture, and a larger gold reward after a few days.
What's the Deal with the Stalker in Dragon's Dogma 2?
So, you're cruising along in Dragon's Dogma 2, minding your own business, when you get this creepy feeling like someone's watching you. Turns out, you're not being paranoid—there's actually a hooded stalker hot on your heels.
How to Spot the Stalker
This stalker is like a bad spy—not very subtle. They'll be wearing a hood and shouting "You!" at you whenever you get close. If you see a suspicious NPC fitting this description, you've found your man.
Confronting the Stalker
Okay, so you've got your stalker in sight. What now? Well, just chatting with them won't cut it. You've gotta get physical. Grab them by the scruff of the neck using RT/R2 on your controller. That'll get their attention.
Should You Take the Gold?
Once you've got the stalker pinned, they'll start spilling the beans. They'll offer you gold to let them go. You've got two options:
- Refuse: You're a stickler for justice and want to see this guy behind bars.
- Demand compensation: You're not above taking a bribe, but you want to make sure it's worth your while.
If you choose the latter, you'll get another two options:
- Refuse his gold: You're not a mercenary, and you want to fight for what's right.
- Accept his gold: You're willing to look the other way for a few thousand gold.
The Consequences of Your Choice
If you accept the gold, the stalker will vanish, and you'll get to keep the money. If you refuse, you'll have to fight the stalker, and he'll be captured and interrogated. Either way, you'll get a quest update telling you to "wait a few days and speak to Captain Brant."
When you do, you'll learn that the stalker was working for Battahl. The captain will reward you with 4,000 gold for your help. So, the choice is yours: justice or a quick buck?
