A Cyberattack Briefly Took Down X Yesterday, March 10, Preventing Thousands of Users

A cyberattack briefly took down X yesterday, March 10, preventing thousands of users from accessing the social media platform. Later, the Russia-backed hacking group Dark Storm claimed responsibility for the incident.
A cyberattack briefly took down X yesterday, March 10, preventing thousands of users from accessing the social media platform. Later, the Russia-backed hacking group Dark Storm claimed responsibility for the incident. Reports identified it as a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack.
This new report follows an earlier article by Coin Edition, which highlighted the possibility of North Korea’s “TraderTraitor” gang being involved in a $1.5 billion hack against Bybit.
The attack occurred as Tesla’s stock faced increased volatility and a group of protestors clashed with police at a Tesla factory, continuing the "Take Down Tesla" movement.
The protest, which unfolded at a Tesla factory in Fremont, California, on Thursday, March 9, marked the latest chapter in a series of demonstrations against the electric vehicle giant.
The protestors, who were seen holding signs and chanting slogans, expressed their anger over Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s initiative to streamline government spending.
The initiative, which was announced earlier this year, has been met with criticism from those who believe that it will lead to deep cuts in social programs.
The protestors also slammed Musk’s involvement in government restructuring, which they fear will grant the billionaire too much power.
Earlier this week, a new report claimed that DEET members, who are paid $180,000 a year on average, could be embezzling government funds.
The report, which was published by Dogecoin, focused on how despite the high salaries and minimal workload, DEET members have been implicated in fraudulent activity.
The report comes as Dogecoin is also experiencing a price plummet, with the digital currency, which is closely linked to Elon Musk, falling by 8.1% in the past day to $0.1582.
Like Dogecoin, Bitcoin has also seen a decline in price, with the cryptocurrency falling by 2.0%, further extending its loss to 17% over the past month.
The protest against Tesla unfolded as the company’s stock faced a 15% plunge, dropping to $222 per share.
The protestors, who were protesting peacefully, clashed with police as they attempted to enter the Tesla factory.
The protest comes amid a broader backlash against Musk and his companies, with several individuals taking to social media to share their experiences with the billionaire.
One user claimed that they had lost everything due to investing in Tesla and Dogecoin, which is closely linked to Elon Musk.
The protest also comes as Musk is facing increasing scrutiny over his role in amplifying conspiracy theories and disinformation online.
Despite being advised against it by his own employees, Musk reportedly allowed a post claiming that the 9/11 attacks were an inside job to remain on X, formerly Twitter.
The post, which was originally shared in 2022 by a user named "The True Reporter," had been viewed over 1 million times and received over 10,000 likes before it was finally deleted on Wednesday, March 8.
The protest against Tesla and Musk's companies seems to be continuing, with more individuals planning to speak out against the billionaire's actions.
