The Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) puts into circulation a gold commemorative coin starting today on the subject of "St. St. Peter and Paul" from the "Bulgarian Iconography" series. This was reported by the central bank on its website, BTA reported.

The price of the coin when put into circulation is BGN 1,757. Its circulation is 4,000.

On the face of the coin in the center are depicted the BNB emblem with the year "1879" on the ribbon, and around the circumference the inscription "Bulgarian National Bank", the nominal value "100 BGN" and the year of issue "2024".

On the back of the coin are depicted canonical images of St. Peter and St. Paul, holding a medallion with the image of Jesus Christ, and an inscription above them in two lines "St. St. Peter and Paul".

The coin will be sold in the BNB - at two cash desks in Sofia, "Knyaz Alexander I" square. 1 and four cash desks in the Cash Center of the BNB in Sofia, "Mikhail Tenev" St. 10.

The BNB explains that each customer will be able to purchase only one coin from the cash registers of the central bank, regardless of whether he purchases in his own name and at his own expense or in the name and at the expense of another person. To purchase a coin in the name and at the expense of another person, it is necessary to present a notarized express power of attorney for the purchase of the specific commemorative coin. If a client, in his capacity as an individual, purchases a coin from the BNB cash registers, he is not entitled to purchase another coin as a representative of a legal entity, and this restriction also applies to the opposite case. Coins are not sold to persons under the age of 18, the BNB also reminds.

By the end of the working day on June 24, the new coin will be provided by the BNB to "Investbank" AD, "First Investment Bank" AD, "Teksim Bank" AD, "Tokuda Bank" AD and "Central Cooperative Bank" AD for sale in their offices and branches. A list of offices and branches can be seen here.
