In a recent development, Kusama reacted to a picture shared by Shiba Inu’s Japanese community member Kuro with a X post that reads, “Mask off…” The image shows a dog sitting in a vehicle’s passenger seat.

Kuro shared the image in response to crypto exchange Huobi’s X post celebrating the national dog month.

Community members reacted to Kusama’s X post with some amusingly asking if he was the one in the passenger’s seat of the vehicle. Others asked him to disclose when he plans to take off his mask.

For those unaware, Kusama, who took over the reins of Shiba Inu following the surprise exit of the project’s pseudonymous founder Ryoshi, has continued to keep his identity concealed from the public.

Like Ryoshi, the Shiba Inu lead developer also adopted a pseudonym – Shytoshi Kusama – to interact with the community. He made his first public appearance as Shiba Inu’s lead developer at the IVS Crypto event in Kyoto, Japan, in July 2024.

They have urged him to take off the mask to help boost investors’ confidence in the project. With Kusama tweeting “mask off,” it remains to be seen if the developer is planning to finally reveal his identity.

In other news, the community is gearing up for the Blockchain Futuristic Conference (BFC), scheduled for August 13 – 14, 2024. Shiba Inu is one of the title sponsors of this year’s BFC conference.
