The Sandbox, a decentralized virtual world platform, has launched an educational initiative for Filipino students who want to learn how to build games. The program, called Sandbox Academy, is designed to equip college students with practical skills and knowledge to create games and experiences on The Sandbox platform.

Upon completion of the course, students will have the opportunity to earn LAND (The Sandbox’s virtual real estate tokens) and SAND (The Sandbox’s native cryptocurrency token) for outstanding game creations. These tokens can be used to further their game development journey or sold for additional income.
