Helensburgh's Lomond School will accept Bitcoin tuition payments starting this Autumn 2025, becoming the first school in the UK to do so.

The school, which is a private independent school, specified it will not accept any other cryptocurrencies. Any Bitcoin received for tuition will be converted into fiat currency right after the reception. It may later create a BTC treasury, depending on feedback from its community.
