Mangal Electrical Industries, a Jaipur-based electrical equipment manufacturer, has filed preliminary papers with capital markets regulator SEBI to raise Rs 450 crore through an initial public offering (IPO).

The net proceeds from the fresh issue will be used for debt repayment, funding incremental working capital requirements and general corporate purposes.

The company sells its products under the "Mangal" brand through a network of over 1,000 distributors and 50,000 retailers across 25 states in India.
