A U.S. court has sentenced the creator of the Mutant Ape Planet (MAP) non-fungible token (NFT) collection to one month in custody, time already served before the verdict.

Michel, a French national, was arrested in January for organizing a “rug pull” scheme with the NFT project. Prosecutors had requested a 37-month prison sentence for Michel, but the judge ultimately decided against it due to the ambiguity over the real financial loss involved.
