Matthew Stafford spent 12 seasons with the Detroit Lions before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. While he had some good moments in Detroit, the Lions never made it past the Wild Card round of the playoffs during his tenure.

When asked if he rooted for the Lions after being eliminated from the playoffs, Stafford said that he didn't really care what happened.

"No, I'm not rooting for anybody at that point," Stafford said. "I have a couple of teammates, a couple of ex-teammates that I wanted to see play well, and they did, but, at that point, I wished everybody could lose."

Stafford's comments may come as a surprise to some Lions fans, who might have expected him to still have some love for his old team. However, Stafford's comments are understandable, especially considering the fact that he spent so many years in Detroit without experiencing much success.
