One such investor, market pundit Edoardo Farina, has been a vocal advocate for the Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) approach, particularly when it comes to investing in XRP. Farina credits his DCA strategy with helping him secure significant wealth over a five-year period.

Farina’s journey began several years ago when he decided to allocate a small portion of his income to purchasing cryptocurrencies on a daily basis. He experimented with various assets before settling on XRP, the token associated with Ripple Labs.

After considering different options, Farina decided to focus on purchasing XRP each day, aiming for a total investment of around 100 euros per week. He emphasized that the specific amount is not crucial, but rather the consistency of investing regularly.

“I’d prefer to buy more each day, but I’m currently limited by the small amounts I can buy on eToro. However, I’m happy with this. I enjoy waking up each day, grabbing a coffee, and making my small purchase of XRP. It’s become part of my routine,” Farina said.

Farina’s experience with DCA began in January 2021, when he decided to convert 0.33 Bitcoin (BTC) into 45,425 XRP. At the time, Bitcoin was priced at €26,115, and XRP was trading at just €0.19.

Purchasing 45,425 XRP set him back €8,618 at the time, nearly three times the amount he had in BTC. However, Farina believed that XRP offered better potential for growth, especially considering its role in cross-border payments and the increasing adoption of cryptocurrencies.

The 45,425 XRP he acquired for €8,618 in 2021 is now worth approximately €103,114, with the current price of XRP at €2.27. On the other hand, if Farina had kept his 0.33 BTC, it would now be worth €26,778, given the current price of Bitcoin at $81,146.

One of the most striking elements of Farina’s experience is how XRP outperformed Bitcoin during the period following the 2024 market rally. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies also saw significant gains after the victory of Donald Trump in the 2024 election, XRP outpaced Bitcoin by a considerable margin.
