The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Region 1 recently conducted a training for trainers in San Juan, La Union. The training was facilitated by the Open University System of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) from July 31 to August 2, 2024.

A total of 49 trainers and prospective accredited trainers participated in the activity. The training aimed to enhance the participants’ competencies on cooperatives, particularly in terms of knowledge, techniques, and attitudes. This will enable them to become more efficient and effective facilitators in assisting Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs).

共有49名培訓師和準認證培訓師參加了本次活動。培訓旨在提高學員的合作社能力，特別是知識、技術和態度方面的能力。這將使他們成為更有效率、更有效的促進者，協助土地改革受惠組織（ARBO）。

The training also served as an avenue for well-tested and committed development facilitators to interact and forge bonds with new development facilitators.

In his message to the participants, Regional Agrarian Reform Officer (Engr) Nestor T. Pagaduan highlighted the significance of the training and mentioned that "there would be more training before their accreditation in 2 years."

This training is part of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) entered into by DMMMSU and DAR Region 1.
