A man in his 50s, who is facing trial for ‘coin fraud’ charges, was sentenced to five years in prison by the lower court in the first trial for attempting to kill a defendant with a weapon.

'코인 사기'혐의에 대한 재판에 직면 한 50 년대의 한 남자는 무기로 피고를 죽이려는 첫 번째 재판에서 하급 법원에 의해 5 년의 징역형을 선고 받았다.

The 12th Criminal Division of the Seoul Southern District Court, presided over by Judge Kim Jeong-gon, sentenced Mr. Kang (51) to five years in prison on the 4th for attempted murder and court disturbance, and stated that the seized knife and gloves would be confiscated.

김 정운 판사가 주재 한 서울 남부 지방 법원의 제 12 차 범죄 사단은 4 일에 군 총리 (51)에서 5 년 동안 살인과 법원 교란을 선고했으며, 압수 된 칼과 장갑이 압수 될 것이라고 진술했다.

The court stated, “Even considering that the defendant caused substantial economic damage related to the business operated by the victim, any private retaliation that unjustly infringes on individual legal interests cannot be permitted under our legal order.”

법원은“피고가 피해자가 운영하는 사업과 관련된 실질적인 경제적 피해를 입었다는 점을 고려하더라도, 개인의 법적 이익을 부당하게 침해하는 개인 보복은 우리의 법적 명령에 따라 허용 될 수 없다”고 말했다.

Furthermore, the court noted, “In order to safeguard the judicial functions of the court and firmly establish legal order in the courtroom, as well as to protect the safety of all citizens and court staff entering the court and restore social trust, we will impose severe penalties on the defendant’s crime.”

또한 법원은“법원의 사법 기능을 보호하고 법정에서 법적 명령을 확고히 확정하고 법정에 입국하는 모든 시민과 법원 직원의 안전을 보호하고 사회적 신탁을 회복하기 위해 피고의 범죄에 대한 심각한 처벌을 부과 할 것”이라고 법원은 다음과 같이 지적했다.

Mr. Kang is accused of attacking Mr. Lee (40), the representative of the virtual asset deposit service company Haru Invest, who is indicted for ‘coin fraud,’ intending to kill him using a knife he had secretly kept. Kang was arrested on the spot immediately after the crime.

강 씨는 가상 자산 예금 서비스 회사 인 Haru Invest의 대표 인 Lee (40)를 공격 한 혐의로 비밀리에 보관 한 칼을 사용하여 그를 죽이려고했다. 강은 범죄 직후 그 자리에서 체포되었습니다.

Mr. Kang has been investigated as a victim of Haru Invest’s ‘withdrawal suspension incident.’ In 2023, when Haru Invest suddenly halted all withdrawal services, Kang was found to have been unable to retrieve approximately 6.4 billion won worth of virtual assets he had deposited with the company. Mr. Lee is currently facing trial for allegedly embezzling approximately 1.4 trillion won in coins from around 16,000 people, including Kang.
