Korea Securities Depository (KSD) CEO Lee Soon-ho has stated that they will prepare their response capabilities for new markets such as token securities in anticipation of various electronic registration services based on digital technologies like blockchain.

한국 증권 보관소 (KSD) CEO Lee Ho는 블록 체인과 같은 디지털 기술을 기반으로 한 다양한 전자 등록 서비스를 예상하여 토큰 증권과 같은 새로운 시장에 대한 대응 기능을 준비 할 것이라고 밝혔다.

At the '2025 First Half CEO Press Conference' held in Yeouido, Seoul on the 6th, CEO Lee said, "The radical changes in the financial market, such as the emergence of the token securities market and the institutional incorporation of virtual assets, are expected to bring significant changes to the Central Securities Depository (CSD) industry as well."

Token securities are new electronic securities with enhanced reliability using blockchain technology, which is also used for virtual assets. They are emerging as a means to facilitate 'fractional investment,' where investors put money into parts of assets such as artwork or real estate and receive dividend income.

토큰 증권은 블록 체인 기술을 사용한 신뢰성이 향상된 새로운 전자 증권으로 가상 자산에도 사용됩니다. 그들은 '분수 투자'를 촉진하기위한 수단으로 떠오르고 있으며, 투자자들은 아트 워크 나 부동산과 같은 자산의 일부에 돈을 투자하고 배당 수입을받습니다.

Legislation to legalize the token securities market (amendments to the Electronic Securities Act and Capital Markets Act) is currently being discussed in the National Assembly. If passed, it is expected to enter a full-scale institutionalization phase.

토큰 증권 시장을 합법화하기위한 법률 (전자 증권법 및 자본 시장 법 개정)은 현재 국회에서 논의되고 있습니다. 통과하면 본격적인 제도화 단계에 들어갈 것으로 예상됩니다.

KSD is currently building a 'Token Securities Testbed Platform.' This platform is a system for managing the total volume of token securities issued and distributed on distributed ledgers. The plan is to conduct external distributed ledger integration tests and comprehensive tests in two phases by May, with the platform set to launch in June.

KSD는 현재 '토큰 증권 테스트 베드 플랫폼'을 구축하고 있습니다. 이 플랫폼은 분산 원장에 발행 및 배포 된 총 토큰 증권을 관리하기위한 시스템입니다. 이 계획은 5 월까지 외부 분산 원장 통합 테스트 및 포괄적 인 테스트를 6 월에 시작하여 5 월까지 두 단계로 포괄적 인 테스트를 수행하는 것입니다.

"To promote the integrated national bond account introduced last year, we will actively pursue improvements to related laws and systems, and smoothly perform the early redemption of personal investment bonds to create a stable national bond investment environment," said CEO Lee.

Lee는“작년에 도입 된 통합 국가 채권 계좌를 홍보하기 위해 관련 법률 및 시스템에 대한 개선을 적극적으로 추구하고 안정적인 국가 채권 투자 환경을 조성하기 위해 개인 투자 채권의 조기 상환을 원활하게 수행 할 것”이라고 말했다.

He added, "We will successfully execute other key business tasks this year, such as promoting the use of the electronic securities system, reorganizing the securities settlement system, and advancing the securities information management framework, to lead the leap forward in the financial market."

"우리는 올해 전자 증권 시스템의 사용 홍보, 증권 침입 시스템을 재구성하고 증권 정보 관리 프레임 워크 발전을 발전시켜 금융 시장에서 도약을 이끌어내는 등 올해 다른 주요 비즈니스 작업을 성공적으로 실행할 것"이라고 덧붙였다.

Moreover, CEO Lee stated that KSD will focus on researching and commercializing key innovative technologies such as AI (Artificial Intelligence) and cloud computing, and concentrate on developing the 'KSD Innovative Financial Platform,' a next-generation computing system to enhance internal operational efficiency.

또한 Lee CEO는 KSD가 AI (인공 지능) 및 클라우드 컴퓨팅과 같은 주요 혁신적인 기술을 연구하고 상용화하는 데 중점을 둘 것이며, 내부 운영 효율성을 향상시키기 위해 차세대 컴퓨팅 시스템 인 'KSD 혁신적인 금융 플랫폼'개발에 집중할 것이라고 말했습니다.
