A former executive at top Wall Street firms and founder of a startup crypto casino has been charged by federal prosecutors with defrauding investors out of millions of dollars.

Kim’s startup, Zero Edge, a crypto casino rendering players even odds, had reportedly raised over $7 million by July, closing a seed round around June 20. Within days, the misappropriation began, and nearly all of the funds were lost, according to the FBI.

Having begun his career as an attorney at Cleary Gottlieb, Kim later held a COO role in trading divisions at both Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan.
