Tom Lee, the co-founder of Fundstrat Global Advisors, is known for his bullish outlooks on cryptocurrencies. In a recent interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box, Lee discussed the possibility of Bitcoin (BTC) catching up with gold's recent rally.

Lee highlighted that the crypto market has experienced significant selling pressure in recent months, largely due to leveraged positions and institutional investors quickly exiting their risk in a chain reaction. However, he believes that this selling has largely run its course.

As the leverage has been shaken out, Lee sees potential for Bitcoin to rebound. However, Lee suggested that a 36% move from Bitcoin's current price could put it on par with gold's performance, implying a potential BTC target around $120,000.
