Lee highlighted that the crypto market has experienced significant selling pressure in recent months, largely due to leveraged positions and institutional investors quickly exiting their risk in a chain reaction. However, he believes that this selling has largely run its course.

"We're really past the point of a great deal of institutional balance sheet risk reduction," Lee said, adding that "a lot of the institutions that had bitcoin on their balance sheet—they've sold it."

As the leverage has been shaken out, Lee sees potential for Bitcoin to rebound. He noted that gold has surged over 30% since the start of the year and recently topped $3,470 per ounce, while Bitcoin has lagged behind. However, Lee suggested that a 36% move from Bitcoin's current price could put it on par with gold's performance, implying a potential BTC target around $120,000.

Looking further ahead, Lee has maintained an ambitious long-term forecast for Bitcoin, standing by his call that the flagship cryptocurrency could hit $250,000 by the end of 2025.

Moreover, he expects Ethereum (ETH) to break higher, projecting a range between $5,000 and $6,000. As gold continues to rally in a world increasingly wary of fiat currencies, Lee sees Bitcoin following a similar path as the digital counterpart to traditional safe-haven assets.
